Like a few of you mentioned, I too didn't find the ideas in the reading on global education earth shatteringly new. Either directly or indirectly we have been talking about these ideas and implementing some for years now. And it's difficult to be critical of these ideas, just like it's difficult to go against talk about our school embracing sustainability more (global education falls under the umbrella of sustainability). I feel like a broken record saying this, but our school needs to make the space and time to truly commit to ways of fostering citizenship in our students. At the same time, It is also important we recognize many of the ways in which we are already doing this.
